PATANJALI RISHIKUL CELEBRATES 161ST TAGORE JAYANTI

 

On the occasion of Rabindranath Tagore’s 161st birth anniversary, Patanjali Rishikul organised a colourful programme on stage on 9th May, 2022. India’s first Nobel Laureate for Literature, Tagore was a great Indian poet an extraordinary thinker who set many footprints of liberal thought of life.

 

The programme witnessed active participation by the students and the teachers. There were many events like PPT presentation on his life and achievements, Poetry recitation of The Champa Flower, group song – Purano Sheyi Diner Kotha and group dance on the song – Esho Shyamolo Shundoro; all based on the creation of the literary luminary. These gave the children an insight into his work and life. Students also participated in a quiz on Tagore’s life.

Appreciating the initiative by the students, Principal, Patanjali Rishikul, Shri Nityanand Singh said that following the educational philosophy of Gurudev, the real education is to nurture minds which are perceptive, observant and responding rightly to peaceful and harmonious co-existence. He encouraged the students to read some of his works and reflect deeply. Secretary, Shri Yashovardhan and Director, Ms. Rekha Baid Gupta said that Tagore’s values should be imbibed by everyone. Vice President, Dr. Krishna Gupta congratulated the students and the teachers. She motivated the students to read Tagore’s compositions as much as possible and draw inspiration from his life and works.
