Patanjali Rishikul witnessed a very colourful and vibrant Basant Panchami celebration on 30th January,2020. On this auspicious occasion, all the students and teachers were dressed in radiant shades of yellow, which are the colours of spring and also associated with Goddes Saraswati. The joy of spring took over when a prayer ceremony worshiping Goddess Saraswati was led by offering of spring flowers by the entire staff of the school. The whole campus wore a festive look and was adorned with colourful kites and handmade yellow sunflowers. Saraswati Poojan created a pious aura in the campus. The celebration commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the distinguished guests, Shri Ravindra Gupta Ji, Prof. Krishna Gupta Ji, and Ma’am Rekha Gupta, invoking the blessings of the Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning, music and art. It was followed by a prayer dance ‘Veena Vadini Saraswati’ and folk song ‘Falgun Ke Rang Udhe.’ Ma’am Krishna, in her address, laid emphasis on the significance of Basant Panchami seeking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. Principal, Shri Nityanand Singh Ji proposed the vote of thanks, addressed the gathering and motivated the students to be progressive learners and to live with people and nature in a harmonious way. The celebration concluded by the distribution of ‘Prasad’ amongst all.
